Samsung has just established its first mobile Store in India with an all-female staff, just in time for International Women’s Day.
The new Samsung store in Ahmedabad is intended to promote the strength of Indian women. Employees in the all-female-staffed Store have received training on the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem and other specialized training classes in accounting, inventory management, and customer care.
“We are very excited to build up the first all-women mobile store and are confident about the new possibilities and milestones this fantastic team is going to achieve, in keeping with our values of people, excellence, and co-prosperity,” stated Mr. Ken Kang, President, and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia. We are committed to increasing the number of women in our workforce and developing the next generation of female leaders within the organization.”
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Samsung has also established an Employee Resource Group (ERG) dubbed WiSE or Women in Samsung Electronics, which will provide support and assistance to female employees in their personal and professional growth.
