Globe and Smart are identified as global rising stars by Opensignal

Opensignal has released two global assessments that look at the state of the mobile experience around the world.

The first is the Global Mobile Network Experience Awards report, which ranks mobile network operators around the world based on their real-world user experience. The 5G Impact on the Global Mobile Network Experience, on the other hand, evaluates the real-world impact of 5G on the mobile experience in 100 markets throughout the world.

Here are some of the most important findings from our local mobile market:

• Globe consumers reported the second biggest percentage gain in 4G Availability in the Asia Pacific area between H2 2020 and H2 2021 — 6.6 percent. Globe is a Global Rising Star in five categories.
• In four categories, Smart is a Global Rising Star: Video, Game, and Voice App Experiences, as well as Download Speed Experiences
• Opensignal’s Smart customers witnessed the biggest percentage gain in their Games Experience between H2 2020 and H2 2021, with a 42.9 percent rise, followed by Smartfren in Indonesia (26.9%), India’s Jio (20.5%), and Taiwan’s GT (20.5%). (16.7 percent ).
• Smart is third in the world in terms of percentage improvement in Voice App Experience, ahead of Globe by 19.4 percent. Globe, on the other hand, is a Global Rising Star in this category, with a decent gain of 8.6%.

In the report 5G Impact on Global Mobile Network Experience:

• Between Q1 2019 — before 5G was introduced — and Q4 2021, download speeds in the Philippines climbed from 7 to 15.1 Mbps. The Philippines rated 67th out of 100 global markets at the end of 2021, up from 73rd at the start of 2019.
• The Philippines ranked joint 66th out of 100 global markets in Games Experience — multiplayer mobile gaming — at the end of 2021, up from joint 86th at the start of 2020. The Philippines’ Games Experience score has increased by 5.8 points on a 100-point scale to 41.2 in that time.
