Google Playstore Applications Laced With Joker Malware Yet Again

The Joker malware, it appears, will not only collect data from Android users but also steal money and more — and it has recently been discovered on eight applications now available on the Google Play Store.

Quick Heal Security has discovered the programs listed below. They’ve already informed Google, and the app has been withdrawn from the store. However, if you still have them, you should get rid of them right away.

  • Fast Magic SMS
  • Auxiliary Message
  • Super Message
  • Free CamScanner
  • Go Messages
  • Element Scanner
  • Super SMS
  • Travel Wallpapers

The Joker malware is reported to have the capacity to sign Android users up for pricey monthly subscriptions. It can also steal personal information, device data, contact lists, messages, and even make phone calls, among other things.

To stay protected from apps like these, Quick Heal Security Labs recommends that users look at the ratings and reviews of an app before downloading it. A low rating can already give you a heads up if it’s a dubious one. If there are any negative experiences, some users will leave comments.
