Globe has increased its network expansions and site upgrades in March this year, demonstrating that it cares and responds to its customer’s demands for more excellent connectivity while the epidemic continues.

In March 2021, the business installed 104 new sites and upgraded 982 existing sites, resulting in an improved mobile experience for at least 644,108 Globe Prepaid, TM, and Globe Postpaid users in various provinces around the country. Since the new sites and site expansion in multiple areas were finished in March, these customers have noticed a 50 percent increase in speed.
The enhanced services have resulted in a better mobile experience, particularly for consumers considered “data smart” and utilize an average of 5GB or more Average Traffic Per User (ATPU). More than 500,000 consumers, or 80% of those who have seen an improvement in their services, are among these.
“We aim to give our clients a better and far-reaching network that will improve their lives amid the different challenges of the epidemic, rather than just meeting our expansion ambitions this year. “We are providing our clients with better connectivity, reliability, and accessible internet,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President, and CEO.
Most clients with improved mobile experiences were seen in Batangas, Pampanga, and Laguna. As Globe’s LTE network has been modernized and its coverage in these provinces has been expanded, this is to be expected.
The top 10 provinces where customers benefit from Globe network builds, and growth include NCR, Misamis Oriental, Cebu, Davao Del Sur, Cavite, Rizal, and Maguindanao.
Customers who are currently using 3G SIM cards should switch to 4G/5G devices and 4G/5G SIMs as soon as possible to take advantage of these upgraded services. Globe promises that consumers who upgrade to the new mobile data standard will preserve their previous phone numbers. Customers can change their SIM cards for free at their nearest Globe Store if quarantine protocols in their respective zones allow it.
