Globe has won the Mobile Experience Awards for October 2022, Philippines, in the categories of 5G Video Experience, 5G Upload Speed, and Core Consistent Quality, according to a report published by Opensignal.

Globe received a score of 12.8 on 5G Upload Speed, compared to Smart’s 11.4 Mbps, a difference of 1.4 Mbps. Globe’s victory was due to an increase of 1.8 Mbps in average 5G upload speeds for Globe users and a decrease of 3.2 Mbps for Smart consumers.

Globe received a score of 73.5 out of 100 for their 5G video experience, while Smart received 68.4 points.

Globe received 76.9% of tests for Core Consistent Quality, whereas Smart has 75.6% and DITO has 76.9%. In terms of Excellent Consistent Quality, however, Smart leads with 58.2%, followed by DITO with 54.4% and Globe with 53.2%.
Consistent Quality assesses the frequency with which users’ experiences on a network met the standards of typical applications. It evaluates download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, packet loss, time to first byte, and the proportion of tests that failed due to a connectivity issue with either the download or server response component.
Globe and Smart share both the 5G Games Experience and 5G Voice App Experience titles.
