The Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is the company’s most recent glass innovation. According to the manufacturer, the enhanced glass composition of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 improves drop performance on rough surfaces like concrete, the world’s most abundantly manufactured material, while retaining the scratch resistance of Gorilla Glass Victus.

In laboratory tests, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 withstood one-meter drops on a surface simulating concrete. In addition, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 fought drops of up to two meters on a surface manufacturing asphalt and retained four times the scratch resistance of comparable aluminosilicate.
Expect smartphone makers to use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 within the next year or as early as the first quarter of 2023.
