The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was released near the end of 2021 and has changed the way people think about premium phones. Qualcomm has now improved upon this with a new version that will be included in the next generation of flagship products. It’s known as the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 by Qualcomm.

Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 has 10% better CPU performance, 10% faster GPU speeds, and 15% lower power consumption, allowing for nearly an hour more gameplay. Qualcomm claims that its internal parts have improved power efficiency by “up to 30%,” which, of course, means that the AI is 20% better.
Qualcomm also unveiled the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 for gamers, which boasts a 20 percent performance gain over the previous generation and trickled-down technologies like the Adreno Frame Motion Engine, which smooths down games by interpolating frames.
Asus ROG, Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, OSOM, realme, RedMagic, Redmi, vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE are among the brands that will use the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 processor. In the meantime, Honor, Oppo, and Xiaomi have signed up for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, with Qualcomm stating that the phones will be available in the coming weeks.
