Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave us a sneak peek at one of the company’s high-end projects, codenamed “Project Cambria.”
According to Zuckerberg, the team used a Presence Platform to combine the physical and virtual worlds to provide users with a realistic mixed reality experience.
One of the project’s claimed accomplishments is “full-color passthrough,” which means you can still see everything around you while wearing a full-body headset with such richness in color, giving you the feeling of remaining in a physical environment while blending it with virtual reality.
The demo is called The World Beyond, and it will be accessible on App Lab soon. The Project Cambria is the next headset after Quest 2, according to Meta’s CEO remark on his post.
