The Instinct 2 smartwatch has been unveiled by Garmin. The standard model of a solar-powered smartwatch has a 45-mm diameter, while the Instinct 2S devices for smaller wrists have a 40-mm diameter.

A non-solar version is available in both sizes, with a 176x176px resolution and a 0.9-inch by 0.9-inch square display for the 45mm devices and 0.79-inch by 0.79-inch square display for the 40mm versions. For legibility and power economy, the Instinct series employs a monochrome transflective memory-in-pixel LCD.

Apps and widgets can be downloaded from the Garmin Connect IQ store to personalize to fitness and work demands, taking advantage of other series features such as the new solar panel and heart rate sensor.
Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity are enabled, allowing the watch to read and broadcast data from additional sensors.
The price of the Garmin Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S starts at USD 349.99.
