Early in 2022, God of War will be released on Steam. The game is currently available on the app, with a January 2022 release date. This follows Sony’s statement that more of its first-party games will be coming to PC.

Support for higher resolutions, ultrawide displays, unlocked framerates, advanced options such as higher resolution shadows, improved screen-space reflections, and support for GTAO and SSDO are all included in the game’s PC version.
“On January 14, 2022, we’re ecstatic to announce that God of War (2018) will be released on PC!” Grace Orlady, senior community manager at Sony Santa Monica Studio, wrote. “The enormous amount of devotion and enthusiasm fans of the God of War franchise have exhibited in the latest part of Kratos’ saga since its release has humbled all of us at Santa Monica Studio.” God of War on PlayStation 4 has sold 19.5 million units as of August 2021, and we can’t wait to share that experience with a whole new group of players on PC.”
NVIDIA has also revealed DLSS compatibility for compatible RTX cards to boost frame rates for the next game. Support for controllers, as well as mouse and keyboard, will be included in the release.
Users who purchase God of War on PC will receive exclusive digital material, including:
