Spotify has announced that its new live-audio app, Spotify Greenroom, is now available in over 135 markets worldwide on Android and iOS.
Greenroom is a new Spotify social audio tool that allows you to host and participate in live conversations. Users may listen to and speak about what they love with artists and fans that share similar interests through virtual rooms.
According to Spotify, Greenroom is being built with makers and artists in mind and is optimized for interactivity and strong connections between participants in live rooms.
The following features are coming to Spotify Greenroom:
• The ability for any user to host or participate in live rooms
• A way to join Greenroom using Spotify log-in info
• A new onboarding experience that puts users’ interests front and center
• Recording capabilities so users can complement their on-demand content with live conversations
• Chat controls
Users can also join or create a room, search for upcoming rooms, and join or establish a group.
Spotify also stated that the Greenroom service would expand as they learn more about what producers and consumers desire from their live audio experience.
Greenroom is available for free on both Android and iOS. It’s currently available in most countries that have Spotify.
