Microsoft will end Windows 10 support in October 2025

Microsoft has disclosed the day when Windows 10 will be retired. On October 14, 2025, it will stop supporting the current operating system. That means Microsoft anticipates a four-year transition to the next version of Windows, unveiling on June 24.

According to Thurrott, the business quietly conveyed the news in a support page update. The page had previously stated when Microsoft would stop supporting particular versions of Windows 10. Microsoft began keeping Windows 10 Home and Pro on July 29, 2015, and the operating system’s “retirement date” is now revealed. The end-of-support date for Windows 10 is just over ten years, identical to earlier versions of the operating system.

We can expect Windows 11 (or whatever it’s called) a redesign, which will likely include a redesigned Windows Store. Windows 10X, which was supposed to be for dual-screen devices, was recently canceled by Microsoft. It stated that several features planned for that OS would be included in the mainstream version of Windows. Manufacturers and developers may find it easier to support dual-screen devices without having to deal with a different version of Windows due to this.
