Nuverse has announced that the Closed Beta Test of Ragnarok X: Next Generation (aka ROX), a new mobile 3D MMORPG based on the beloved classic franchise, will begin on April 23rd and end on May 8th in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Players can now pre-register for the official version, as the pre-registration page is now live.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation, produced by The-Dream Network and licensed by Gravity Co., Ltd, invites you to experience a faithful re-imagining of the Midgard you know and love, made in polished 3D, complete with next-generation gameplay, original groups, demons, and much more.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation honors the RO franchise’s distinguished and long-running legacy, with systems, mechanics, and characters familiar to any Ragnarok Online veteran. The original six classes are still available in the game: Swordsman, Thief, Acolyte, Mage, Archer, and Merchant. Players will have more class versatility with two upgrade classes and three development stages for each of them. Your favorite common demons, such as Poring and Lunatic, as well as spectacular scenes like The Fountain in Prontera, are all sure to be found in the world of ROX, thanks to their unaltered Korean Chibi art style.
Furthermore, the game has a slew of new features that make it a fresh, new adventure for players. Ragnarok X: Next Generation employs 3D modeling to create a completely immersive environment, providing players with a visual feast. ROX’s stories have also been updated, with over 100 side quests and over 40 real-time rendered animations allowing players to dive deeper into the lore of ROX.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation also provides a detailed experience during adventures in its universe. You’ll have a better sense of balance, both in and out of battle, thanks to the revamped Unity 3D engine, twin-joystick control scheme, and 2.5D + 3D double-perspective architecture. The brand-new engine also has its weather system, providing players with a more realistic immersive experience.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation pre-registration is now available for SEA players on the game’s pre-registration website. Suppose the number of pre-registered players increases and various thresholds are reached. In that case, players will be awarded a range of exclusive virtual prizes, including the title of “Next Generation,” a Campus Festival Backpack, and a Hamster Mount (30 Days)! Players will win an exclusive Elephant Mount by participating in the Vending Machine event on the pre-registration website and completing 100 draws.
