24-inch Apple iMac with an M1 chip and a thin profile of 11.5 mm, priced in the Philippines

Apple has launched a slew of new devices, including Apple Silicon-powered iPad Pro models, Apple TV 4K with a next-gen Siri remote and A12 Bionic internals, and Apple AirTag. This tiny circular tag can be tracked using the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad. Oh, and Apple also added a purple finish to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini and an optional 10 Gigabit Ethernet port to the M1 Mac mini.

But, from our viewpoint, the most significant announcement earlier today — both literally and figuratively — was a throwback to the vibrant classic iMacs of the late 1990s and early 2000s for those of our readers who weren’t alive at the time. The redesigned Apple iMac has a slimmer 24-inch display with native 4.5K resolution, 500 nits of brightness, and Apple’s True Tone technology. It’s also only 11.5mm thick and comes in various vibrant colors to complement your style and add a pop of color to any space.

As always, you can customize your iMac settings to meet your specific requirements. Instead of the standard metal stand, an iMac with a built-in VESA mount adapter is available.

Apple is including improved speakers, mics, and a 1080p video camera with a larger sensor for FaceTime and Zoom calls, in addition to the all-new screen and vibrant redesign. A magnetic power cord connects to the back of the display, and there are up to four USB-C/Thunderbolt and USB-C ports, as well as a standard headphone jack. Apple also includes a color-coordinated Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. Still, the Touch ID version of the keyboard is only available on the more expensive models if you upgrade to the Magic KeyBoard with a fingerprint scanning button from the base model.

Apple’s ARM-based M1 silicon, which was first used in the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini in November, is used in the 2021 iMac. Apple’s first-generation hardware, based on M1 chips, was well-received and has seen widespread adoption among content creators and video editors looking for a portable computer to complete technical tasks. Although the iMac isn’t designed for that, it should be more than capable of handling the charges that high-end desktops are designed for.

The latest Apple iMac is officially priced as follows in the Philippines:

• Apple iMac 24″ (8GB + 256GB + 8-core CPU + 7-core GPU) – PHP 73,990

• Apple iMac 24″ (8GB + 256GB + 8-core CPU + 8-core GPU) – PHP 85,990

• Apple iMac 24″ (8GB + 512GB + 8-core CPU + 8-core GPU) – PHP 97,990
