According to a report from 9To5Mac and Supercharged, Apple is going to reveal new iPad models with better chips sometime this week, possibly on Tuesday, October 17.
The upcoming models that will likely be updated are the iPad Air, iPad mini, and the regular iPad. These updates will mainly focus on improving specifications and processors, rather than making major changes to the design.

They say Apple will make the announcement through a press release instead of a live event.
The iPad Air will have the new M2 chip, while the iPad mini and regular iPad will have the A16 Bionic chip.
There’s a rumor that the new iPad mini might have a better display controller to fix the jelly scrolling problem that some people have experienced with the current 6th generation iPad mini.
There are also reports saying that a new Magic Keyboard and 3rd Generation Apple Pencil will be released. But, there’s no news saying that Apple will come out with new iPad Pro models right now.
