Meta, the parent company of Facebook, seems to be slowly introducing the Notes feature on Messenger, as reported by some users of the app on Friday.

The Notes feature, represented by a thought bubble icon above a user’s profile picture on Messenger, enables users to express their thoughts using a maximum of 60 characters.
In 2023, Meta introduced the same feature for Instagram direct messages.
The feature evokes nostalgia for older messaging platforms such as AIM and MSN Messenger.
Certain social media users expressed their enthusiasm for the recent Messenger update, while others have expressed their dissatisfaction with it.
Several users have observed that the update has not yet been deployed for Android users.
