Apple unveils new 15-inch MacBook Air

At the 2023 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in Cupertino, California, Apple unveiled a new 15-inch MacBook Air.

The device features a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display and is equipped with Apple’s M2 processor.

The MacBook Air’s M2 will feature an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It is also available with a maximum of 24GB of RAM. According to Apple, the M2 enables the Air to deliver a battery life of up to 18 hours.

The upcoming 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to have a slim profile of 11.5mm and a weight of 3.3 pounds. According to Apple, the Air operates without a fan and produces no noise with the M2 processor.

The new MacBook Air will be equipped with MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for its ports.

The device is equipped with a 1080p FaceTime HD Camera and a new six-speaker sound system that comprises two tweeters and two sets of force-canceling woofers. According to Apple, this configuration will provide an immersive Spatial Audio experience, enhanced bass, and a fuller sound.

The upcoming MacBook Air will be available in four distinct colors, namely Starlight, Space Gray, Silver, and Midnight.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is set to be priced at $1299 for the general public and $1199 for educational purposes. The laptop is scheduled to be available for purchase at retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers beginning on June 13th.

The 15-inch MacBook Air will be available in the Philippines at a starting price of Php 82,990 for the 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD model, and Php 94,990 for the 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD option.
