GCash, a mobile wallet, has announced that it has collaborated with Grab Philippines to give GCash as a direct payment option within the Grab app.

The GCash cashless payment mechanism will be accessible for GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabMart, and GrabExpress, as well as other Grab services, on the Grab app in February.
This enables regular Grab users who prefer cashless payments to avoid transfer costs as high as Php 50.
“Grab Philippines is committed to enabling our stakeholders within a digital-first economy…
We look forward to collaborating with like-minded partners such as GCash on this initiative, and we are optimistic that through this partnership, we will be able to improve the lives and livelihoods of many of our kababayans while creating a cashless, digital-first economy for all Filipinos,” said Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz.
In addition, Grab customers will soon be able to take advantage of GCash-exclusive discounts and other perks for using GCash in Grab transactions.
