WhatsApp is now rolling out a feature that allows you to communicate with yourself and store information such as links, documents, and notes easily accessible within your own WhatsApp conversation.

“Message Yourself” was initially reported by TechCrunch and originally detected by WaBetaInfo during its beta testing.
Meta has stated that the Message Yourself function will be available to Android and iPhone users worldwide in the coming weeks.
Previously, a workaround in WhatsApp was to create a group chat and delete all participants but yourself to create a private conversation, or to use the “click to chat” option.
The new Message Yourself tool should eliminate any additional steps required to save a note, link, or document for later use.
Similar capabilities were already offered on other chat systems, like Meta’s Facebook Messenger and Telegram’s Saved Messages.
