Following the much-anticipated announcement of Apple’s new iPhone 14 yesterday, the company has finally announced that iOS will be available for download on September 12, 2022.

iOS 16 was first revealed on June 6, 2022, at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2022, and its public beta was released in July 2022.
Some of the most notable iOS updates are, of course, the lock screen, where users can now add widgets, more customizations, and a new way to display notifications. Another major update is that users can now edit and unsend messages, as well as the new iCloud Shared Photo Library, which allows up to 5 people to share their photos, and the use of Live Text, which allows users to pull text from videos and photos, among other new features.
