Sharing NFTs on Facebook and Instagram is now possible

Meta has officially included NFT (non-fungible token) functionality to its social media channels.

Meta announced on Twitter that users may now publish digital collectibles that they possess via their digital wallets and share them across Instagram and Facebook.

According to the same update, Meta now supports wallet connections with Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper, as well as the ability to upload digital collectibles produced on the Flow blockchain. While supported blockchains include Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.

Meta mentioned that there are no expenses associated with posting and sharing a digital collectible.

This move follows the company’s expansion to 100 countries across Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas for access to Instagram NFT functionalities on August 4th. Meta, on the other hand, did not indicate which nations they have expanded to.

There appears to be no widespread support in the Philippines. However, users in supported countries will notice a ‘Digital valuables’ choice on their Instagram hamburger menu, where they can connect their digital wallet.
