Netflix’s upcoming ad-supported plan may not permit watching Netflix content while offline, it was found in the company’s code.

Last time, it was claimed that Netflix would introduce an ad-supported tier, which was intended to be the most economical option but would include advertisements as a way to attract and keep viewers. However, Netflix’s app contains a phrase stating that it does not permit downloading of its material for offline viewing, which was found by developer Steve Moser.
The text says :
Downloads available on all plans except Netflix with ads.
Inside the app, there is additional information that refers to the “set up of experience” for customers who have the new Netflix with advertisements subscription.
The text says :
Now, let’s set up your ad experience.
We just need a few details to make sure you get the most relevant ads on Netflix. It’ll be really quick, we promise!

However, based on an interview with TechCrunch, Netflix has declined to comment on the download capability, despite having made a suggestion that it might be included in the finished product.
“We haven’t made any judgments yet; we’re still in the early stages of figuring out how to introduce a less expensive, ad-supported option. Accordingly, everything at this time is purely conjecture, a Netflix spokeswoman told TechCrunch.
Netflix is not the only streaming provider that offers ad-supported plans without a download function; HBO Max, Peacock, and others also do so. Accordingly, the only people who can see offline content are premium subscribers.
