Through the infrastructure of its US-Transpacific Jupiter cable system, which is anticipated to offer increased capacity in multiple Terabits per second, PLDT increased the capacity of its global network in July. This helps PLDT consumers, whose needs for digital services and improved digital experiences are growing. Additionally, only PLDT is able to offer fiber-optic connectivity at speeds of up to 10,000 Mbps in the Philippines. This places the nation on par with developed countries like South Korea, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Italy, New Zealand, and the USA that have access to such extremely fast home internet connections. The largest network of PLDT, with a fiber infrastructure that has been developed to over 803,000 kilometers, a reach of 15.5 million houses traversed, and a total fiber capacity of 6.25 million ports, is what powers all of these advances.
