The next Apple Watch Series 8 is said to include a body temperature sensor that will alert users if they have a fever.

Though the Series 8 will not be able to provide accurate readings, it may issue a message instructing users to see a doctor or use a dedicated thermometer. Mark Gurman reported in a June 2021 story that this highlight is anticipated to emerge with the 2022 wearable lineup.
Gurman also says that the other modifications to the Series 8 will seem insignificant in comparison. He also claims that the new Series 8 will have the same processing power as its predecessor but will have a better display.
Though there have been rumors about heart rate and body temperature monitoring features, he dismisses these, saying, “I’m told that neither function is expected to arrive in the 2022 upgrade, though both additions have been investigated internally and could arrive one day.”
We’re curious to see how this is accomplished if the capability is included in the Apple Watch Series 8. There was no additional critical information provided, but we will keep you posted on any further developments.
