Razer has recently announced their new gaming headset portfolio, which includes the new Barracuda and Barracuda Pro, as well as a refresh of the older Barracuda X.
Razer’s flagship gaming and leisure headphones are the Barracuda Pro. They use Razer’s TriForce Bio-Cellulose 50mm speakers, which produce a rich, natural, and detailed sound. A world-class THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier and THX Spatial Audio for increased dynamic range are also included.
Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation is one of the Barracuda Pro’s premium features, providing an uninterrupted audio experience that’s excellent for long gaming sessions or heading outside. The cushions are comprised of luxurious leatherette memory foam for a really relaxing listening experience.
Other features include Razer’s SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, which allows you to connect and instantly switch between two devices, as well as Dual Integrated Noise-Canceling Microphones with fine-tuned vocal pickup.
Along with the Barracuda Pro, Razer also unveiled the new Razer Barracuda, which has Razer’s TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers and THX Spatial Audio for powerful sound. It also has the same SmartSwitch Dual Wireless technology, which lets you connect to two devices simultaneously.
The Razer Barracuda’s headband and earcup are made of FlowKnit Memory Foam for a comfortable fit during long gaming sessions. It also has a 3.5 headphone connection for times you want to use it as wired headphones and a 40-hour battery life with USB-C charging.
The freshly refurbished Barracuda X, which has some significant changes, rounds off the list. The updated edition also has Bluetooth connectivity, Razer’s SmartSwitch Dual Wireless for connecting to two devices at once, and a battery that can last up to 50 hours on a single charge.
It has 40mm Razer Triforce Drivers and 7.1 Surround Sound capabilities. Its HyperClear cardioid microphone is also detachable, which makes it genuinely unique. If you want better voice quality while gaming, or if you want to remove it and use it like any other set of headphones, this is a great option.
