Meta has now launched their “Avatars Store,” which allows users to buy digital apparel for their own avatars.

Mark Zuckerberg and Eva Chen, Instagram’s Vice President of Fashion Partnerships, made the announcement on Instagram Live. Meta’s Avatars Store will be available on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger in the near future.
Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne are among the labels cooperating with Meta for the debut of its Avatars Store. Branded hoodies, a motocross gear, several formal jackets, and even Zuckerberg in a cropped shirt and low-rise trousers were on display during the presentation.
“Digital goods will be an important way to express yourself in the metaverse and a big driver of the creative economy. I’m excited to add more brands and bring this to VR soon too.” – Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO
Meta hasn’t provided any other details about pricing or how digital clothing will be accessed. It’s also worth mentioning that free digital apparel alternatives will continue to be offered.
