Government eyes printed national ID card

The incoming administration plans to distribute the ID to the majority of Filipinos by year’s end, therefore the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is developing a printed version of the national ID.

“The PSA is currently working on increasing the production of the physical ID cards currently printed at the BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) and will launch the printable version of the national ID that can be printed at the PSA registration centers,” national statistician Dennis Mapa said.
