Dragon Ball Super: Gohan is the strongest, according to Akira Toriyama

Gohan has long been a highly powerful character in the Dragon Ball universe, having been the first to discover the Super Saiyan 2 transformation, eliminating the nefarious Cell, and becoming a key Earth protector in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. With both Gohan and Piccolo in the driver’s seats in the upcoming film, creator Akira Toriyama has stated that the father of Pan is the current strongest member of the Z-Fighters.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’s Official Website Akira Toriyama, the creator of some of the most iconic anime characters, revealed in a new interview that Goku’s kid is the strongest hero among the Z-Fighters, despite the fact that he doesn’t have God Ki at his disposal:

“Gohan is actually stronger than everyone…or so they say, but he hasn’t had much of an opportunity to show off recently. It is his beloved teacher Piccolo, not his father Goku, who is used to motivate Gohan. By putting these two in the spotlight during their hard clashes with the Gamma androids, I felt I’d try to give birth to a new superhero.”

Gohan has had a tumultuous trip throughout Dragon Ball Super, beginning as a fighter who could barely maintain a Super Saiyan transformation but quickly training his way back to retrieve his “Ultimate” transformation, which he found during the Majin Buu Arc of Dragon Ball Z. Gohan was one of Universe 7’s strongest delegates during the Tournament of Power, and he also played a key role in the Moro Arc, inventing new team-up attacks alongside Piccolo.

Gohan now relies on both his Super Saiyan transformations and his Ultimate Form, according to the trailers for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and Piccolo appears to be unleashing his potential as well, with a new transformation that causes the Namekian’s skin to change color and removes the lines from the Z-arms. Fighter’s While Piccolo’s “potential” has been described as being “unleashed” by the new shape, there are still many unanswered questions.
