The Philippines’ average mobile download speed is 18.79 Mbps, and the average fixed broadband download speed is 49.10 Mbps, according to Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index for February 2022.

With the aforementioned download speed, an average upload speed of 5.61Mbps, and a 23ms latency, the Philippines’ mobile internet speeds placed even lower at 94th. These numbers are two steps down from the 92nd position in January when the average download speed was 17.95Mbps, the upload speed was 5.42Mbps, and the latency was 24ms.

In terms of fixed broadband internet speeds, the country is ranked 68th, with an average download speed of 46.92Mbps, an upload speed of 46.92Mbps, and a latency of 6ms.
These results are much higher than last year’s figures, yet the Philippines remains well behind the leaders. The United Arab Emirates now has the fastest mobile internet speeds, at an average of 133.51 Mbps. Chile has the month’s fastest fixed broadband internet at 197.59Mbps.
