DITO surpasses the 7 million subscriber mark

DITO Telecommunity, the country’s third telco, announced on Tuesday that it had surpassed 7 million subscribers a year after launching commercial operations.

“It gives us great pleasure to inform our fellow citizens that DITO has reached yet another milestone in our journey. We reached 7 million active users on March 14, less than a week after our first anniversary,” DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano stated.

DITO previously announced their 5G wireless broadband package, which costs P12,990 for the modem and SIM card.

DITO Chief Commercial Officer Evelyn Jimenez recently announced AutoPay and Advance Pay alternatives to “level-up” client experience.

The third telecom, China Telecom, owned by Davao businessman Dennis Uy, previously stated that it was only a few hundred towers away from achieving its third-year target of covering 70% of the population.

DITO has nearly 4,000 towers thus far. In July, the third technical audit will take place.
