Apple will no longer fix reported missing iPhones

When users bring an iPhone in for service, Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers will now be notified if it has been reported missing in the GSMA Device Registry.

Suppose an Apple technician is alerted in their internal MobileGenius or GSX systems that the device has been reported missing. In that case, they are advised to deny repairs, according to an internal memo obtained by MacRumor. This new approach will help Apple service centers reduce the number of iPhones on hand.

Users can utilize this page to raise complaints or report a missing iPhone.
