Twitter's app now accepts Ethereum tips

In September of last year, Twitter launched its Tips function, enabling users to send and receive tips using Bitcoin. It is currently working on adding support for Ethereum wallets.

According to Twitter, you’ll also be able to copy someone’s Bitcoin or Ethereum address and paste it into your preferred wallet via the Twitter mobile app’s Tips function.

According to CoinDesk, ENS domain names will not be supported, however tipping with ETH and ERC-20 tokens (including Ethereum-based stablecoins) will be.

“We’re continuing to extend payment options on Twitter, including new options for creators and fans who want to pay with cryptocurrency,” Johnny Winston, Twitter’s lead product manager for creator monetization, told CoinDesk in a statement.
