Twitter introduces NFT Profile Pictures

Twitter just announced a new tool called NFT Profile Pictures, which is currently rolling out as an early access Labs feature to Twitter Blue users on iOS. It will enable users to display their non-fungible tokens, or NFTs.

The platform now includes NFTs as one of various methods to modify your Twitter profile, allowing you to display your NFTs in a hex-shaped profile picture.

According to Twitter, creating an NFT profile picture allows others to link your Twitter account to the public crypto wallet address associated with your connected wallet. Additionally, because this information is all publicly available on the public blockchain, your Twitter account will be associated with your current and history crypto wallet transactions and holdings, including all other NFTs in that wallet.

Subscribers can now only set an NFT as their profile photo via the Twitter for iOS app, although the hexa-shaped profile image is visible across all devices.
