Kim Seon-ho, the star of the Korean drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” is one of the top ten overall trending searches on Google in South Korea in 2021.

Google released Year in Search 2021, a report that summarized the most popular search topics worldwide and by country.
According to Google, “lists are based on search terms that had the highest spike this year compared to the previous year.”
Kim Seon-ho came in sixth place in the overall trending searches in South Korea in 2021, the only person in the top ten.
Kim Seon-ho was accused of forcing her to abort their baby in July 2020 on the false promise of marriage and living together by a woman who claimed to be her former girlfriend on Oct. 17. The tweet was sent just hours before the finale of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”
“I would like to apologize for making a late statement with my fear of watching my own name constantly being mentioned in many articles,” Kim Seon-ho said in a statement released on Oct. 20, according to the Korea Herald.
“I have hurt her with my carelessness and inconsiderate actions, despite the fact that we were in a relationship with good feelings for each other.” I’d like to apologize in person, but I’m waiting for the right opportunity to do so. “With this writing, I’d like to express my apologies,” the 35-year-old actress said.
“It appears that I forgot about the people who helped me become the actor Kim Seon-ho,” he continued. I’d like to apologize once more for causing problems for those who have worked with me. I realize that my writing does not suffice as an apology, but I do want to express my sincerity. Please accept my apologies.”
Because of the controversy, Kim Seon-career ho’s was turned upside down. He was cast out of the films “Dog Days” and “2 O’clock Date” after leaving the reality TV show “2 Days & 1 Night.” Advertisers also took down his social media photos and videos.
“I am sorry that my writing has caused unintentional damage to many people,” his ex-girlfriend wrote on Facebook on Oct. 20.
“There was a time when he [Kim Seon-ho] and I truly loved each other, but it hurts me to see him collapse in an instant as a result of some of my extreme posts.” “I got an apology from him, and it appears that we had a misunderstanding,” she explained.
Choi Young Ah, a former weathercaster for Korean TV channels YTN and KBS who now works as an influencer and owns an online shopping site, was revealed as the former girlfriend by Korean media.
The subsequent revelations by Korean media from their friends and acquaintances refuted her allegations and swayed public opinion in Korea in favor of Kim Seon-ho.
Companies have resumed using Kim Seon-ho in their advertisements. He was able to resume his career, and “Sad Tropics,” his first film, was released.
According to Google, searches for Kim Seon-ho peaked from Oct. 17 to 23, reaching a value of 100, indicating “the term’s peak popularity.”
