WhatsApp has launched a feature that allows users to use linked devices without having to use their smartphone

WhatsApp has launched a feature that allows users to link their account to a different device and still receive and send messages without having to connect their smartphone.

Previously, receiving and sending messages required your smartphone to be connected to the internet, but with the new update, this feature will no longer require an internet connection. When this “Beta” feature is enabled, up to four devices will be able to receive end-to-end encrypted messages and calls for up to 14 days after the smartphone is turned off.

However, there is a restriction for iOS users. It won’t let iOS users delete messages or conversation threads from a linked device, and it won’t let them link a separate tablet or a secondary smartphone, among other things.

Follow the steps below to activate the new linked feature:

This feature is now available to all WhatsApp users as part of the most recent update for Android and iOS.
