Microsoft has released Windows 11 on a global scale

Beginning today, October 5, 2021, Microsoft will start formally rolling out Windows 11 internationally. It will be available as a free upgrade to qualified Windows 10 PCs and PCs pre-installed with Windows 11.

According to the business, the upgrade will be offered first to new eligible devices. The Windows 11 upgrade will then be rolled out to in-market devices “based on intelligence models that take into account hardware eligibility, dependability metrics, device age, and other factors.”

Those with a Windows 10 PC eligible for the upgrade will be alerted when the update is ready. Users can also determine whether Windows 11 is ready for their device by navigating to Settings > Windows Update and selecting Check for updates*.

Microsoft intends to provide a free update to Windows 11 to all eligible devices by the middle of 2022.
