The second-generation Nest Cam, a wired security camera for interior use, was recently announced by Google.

The new Nest Cam comes in four colors: Snow, Linen, Fog, and Sand with a maple wood base and is adjustable for tabletops or walls.
The new Nest Cam, according to Google, has ten times the machine learning capabilities of the previous version, as well as improved HDR video quality and the ability to process events on-device.
Day or night, this security camera captures 1080p HD footage and can recognize humans, animals, and cars. It also includes three hours of event video archives and the ability to create Activity Zones without requiring a subscription. It also offers a backup of local storage.
The Nest Cam is designed to work with the Google Home app, allowing users to watch and operate the camera at any time. Users may also choose which notifications they receive, create Activity Zones, and access their whole home history across all of their connected devices, including displays, thermostats, and the new Nest Cams and Doorbell.

A Nest Aware membership adds 30 days to event video history, while a Nest Aware Plus subscription adds 60 days to event video history and ten days to continuous video history. Both subscriptions include Familiar Face Detection, which allows the cameras to recognize people you know.
The Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is now available on the Google Store and at select shops in the United States for USD 99.99. There’s no indication on how much it will cost in your area or when it will be available.
