OnlyFans has put a halt to a policy change that would have banned sexually explicit content

After the intended policy change, OnlyFans have deferred their decision to ban sexually explicit content. Although Onlyfans were not mainly established for porn, content has been the most noticeable application case on the network.

“Thank you all for having heard your voices. We have ensured that we support the various creator community and have discontinued the policy change planned for October 1,’ said the firm in a tweet on Wednesday. “Only fans mean inclusion, and we’ll keep on providing all designers with a place.”

An OnlyFans spokesman said in the email to TechCrunch that, given to bank partners’ assurances that only fans can help with all kinds of creators, “the suggested October 1, 2021, adjustments are no longer necessary.”

Only Fans earlier mentioned that they needed to make policy amendments to meet their “banking and payment partners” needs. The corporation has said that the pressures they experience led to it being decided not to allow any sexually explicit content on its website, but now it appears that only Fans have been able to remedy the problem after publishing the subject.

Only the official announcement of Fans states that it was “suspended,” which implies that the policy may not have been completely discontinued.

Only Fans stated that “formal information would be sent shortly to authors” in a follow-up twist to the original announcement.

The decision to exclude sexually explicit content frustrated sex workers, who relied on the platform to support themselves financially. Some creators have already deactivated their account for only fans in response to the expected policy changes, and relocated to alternative platforms. With this latest reversal, creators must decide whether to return to or leave the platform for a rival service.

OnlyFans were established in 2016 and claim to have more than 130 million registered members and 2 million designers. A number of superstars, including Bella Thorne, Cardi B, and Bhad Bhabie, were successfully attracted.
