Netflix now supports spatial audio on the iPhone and iPad

Netflix is starting to roll out support for Apple’s spatial audio feature on the iPhone and iPad, according to 9to5Mac on Wednesday. A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the rollout to The Verge, stating that it will begin on Wednesday and expect users to see it in the coming days. You might already have it — some Reddit users have reported that it works for them.

Apple’s spatial audio, which is only available with the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max on an iPhone or iPad, is intended to immerse you in what you’re listening to with an impressive surround sound effect. If you want to try out spatial audio but don’t have Netflix, you can do so on other services like Apple TV Plus, Disney Plus, or HBO Max.

Apple intends to add spatial audio to macOS and tvOS in the future.
