Cebuana Lhuillier’s relationship with Western Union, the world’s largest money transfer company, continues with another remittance service innovation that emphasizes efficiency and convenience for Cebuana Lhuillier customers.
Clients can now receive foreign remittances received through any Western Union outlet in the world directly to their eCebuana micro-savings account. This innovative breakthrough allows consumers to receive money from loved ones and families overseas while remaining safe in their own homes.

Cebuana Lhuillier micro-savings account holders will now be able to receive their remittances directly via their eCebuana app in the safety and comfort of their own homes, and use them for other financial transactions available on the app, thanks to this latest development, made possible with the help of Western Union,” said Philippe Andre Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, senior executive vice president.

Recipients can now choose to receive their funds using the eCebuana app in three simple steps: Users of eCebuana need only select the receive money service, Western Union, and then provide the MTCN or Reference No. Western Union remittance will be automatically credited to their micro-savings account after giving the appropriate information and correctly inputting the OTP supplied by SMS.
The funds can then be cashed in at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch or used for various in-app services, such as bill payment, load purchases, and direct remittances to other Micro Savings accounts, Cebuana Lhuillier branches, or any other bank account.
