The Helio G96 and Helio G88 SoCs from MediaTek are the latest additions to the Helio G series, increasing smartphone screens and photography capabilities.

According to MediaTek, the Helio G96 SoC will enable 120Hz displays with resolutions up to FullHD+. Furthermore, the Helio G96 120Hz display does not have any limitations in DDIC supply, C-phy or D-phy interface, and can handle LCD and AMOLED panels. It will also have up to 108MP cameras, a fast Cat-13 4G LTE WorldMode modem, dual 4G SIM support, VoLTE and ViLTE services, and an Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine.
The Helio G88, on the other hand, will enable 90Hz displays. Its octa-core CPU has two ARM Cortex-A75 CPUs running at up to 2.0GHz, allowing for quick reactions, program loading, and the camera captures. Furthermore, the Helio G88 will feature up to 64MP primary cameras, a hardware depth engine for dual-camera-camera bokeh shots, a Camera Control Unit (CCU), as well as Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technologies.
