Facebook introduces Soundmojis for Messenger app

Facebook Messenger’s latest expression feature, Soundmojis, has been released, allowing users to express themselves in discussions better.

So, what exactly is Soundmoji? According to Facebook, a higher-level emoji allows users to send brief sound recordings in Messenger chats. Clapping, crickets, drum rolls, and wicked laughing will all produce short sound clips for their respective emoji. Audio clips from favorite musicians such as Rebecca Black and legendary TV shows will also have their brief sound clips.

To use Soundmojis, open your Messenger app, start a message, tap the smiley face to access the expressions menu, and then tap the loudspeaker symbol. You can then preview and email your favorite Soundmojis.

Facebook is unveiling an entire Soundmoji library for users to pick from, which will be updated regularly.
