BDO allows QR code withdrawals from select ATMs

In February 2021, Banco de Oro announced that QR code withdrawals would be possible. BDO ATMs or automated teller machines (ATMs) in Metro Manila would allow clients to conduct transactions faster, more conveniently, and most importantly, more safely due to the new technology.

Your BDO card will no longer be required when withdrawing cash. COVID-19 or any other contact-based conditions would also be reduced by using cardless transactions at BDO ATMs. For sending money, BDO has a QR code feature that is different from this service.

How to use QR code-based withdrawals at BDO

  1. Log in to the BDO Digital Banking App. Click ‘More,’ then ‘Withdraw,’ and finally ‘Via QR.’
  2. Choose the BDO account where you intend to withdraw money and type in the amount to be withdrawn.
  3. Review your details and tap ‘Confirm.’ Save the QR code.
  4. To withdraw at any given time, perform the first three steps.
  5. Go to a select BDO ATM and tap ‘QR Code Transaction.’
  6. Scan your QR code and wait for the money to be dispensed. As with a regular withdrawal, you’ll have to choose whether you want a receipt or not.

Withdrawals using the BDO QR code are currently limited to ATMs in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Pasig. QR code-based withdrawals at BDO ATMs in these cities can be enabled by following the steps below:

At the moment, these QR code-based withdrawals are only available at a select number of BDO ATMs. The complete list of these ATMs can be found on this page. Soon, it will be available in major cities across the United States. Each withdrawal requires a different QR code. Each QR code is only valid for 24 hours for added security.
