PLDT Global Corp., a technology services firm, has partnered with Canada’s Hasty Market to sell Smart Communication, Inc.’s electronic load products, according to PLDT Group.
“Under this agreement, customers will now be able to purchase Smart conveniently and TNT e-load products for themselves or to send to their family members in the Philippines in over 200 Hasty Market locations across Ontario, Canada,” PLDT Group said in an e-mailed statement.
“As of 2016, Ontario, Canada is home to over 53,000 Filipinos,” it noted.
“This relationship enables us to get our services closer to our kababayans (compatriots) abroad so that they can improve their ties with their loved ones back home,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, senior vice-president and chief commercial officer at PLDT Global.
To provide 5G roaming services, Smart has partnered with 22 partners in 16 countries.
