Characters created by famed komiks writer Mars Ravelo, such as Darna, Captain Barbell, and Lastikman, have been added to NetEase’s free-to-play multiplayer online battle royale game.
On Wednesday, ROS and ABS-Ravelo CBN’s Komiks Universe (RKU) kicked off a two-week partnership event in the Philippines and Cambodia (May 26).
NetEase Games developed and published Rules of Survival, which was first launched as a beta in November 2017. The game had 230 million players globally by October 2018.
The Westward Journey series, Tianxia III, Heroes of Tang Dynasty Zero, and Ghost II, among others, are among NetEase’s other games. NetEase also collaborates with Blizzard Entertainment to run popular games such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Overwatch.
Rules of Survival is a conventional battle royale game in which players compete to be the last individual (or team) standing. Players can play in one of four game modes: solo, duo, the squad (four players), or fireteam (five players).
ROS players can claim the free RKU superhero costumes by completing particular missions. From lottery events, they can also draw themed things and emojis for free.
A sports car, a wingman, and weapons, as well as a new interaction model, are among the RKU-themed exclusives coming to ROS during the partnership period.
A unique Superhero Training Manual will be issued during the crossover, and players will receive superhero appearances and rewards by accumulating EXP and leveling up.
