Globe Installs 11 New Cell Towers, Completes 103 Sites Upgrade in Bukidnon

Globe’s rapid network rollouts and site growth have improved services for its Bukidnon consumers.

The company installed 11 new cell towers in Bukidnon in the first quarter of the year, with at least one building in Quezon, San Fernando, Don Carlos, Manolo Fortich, Maramag, Balingon, Libona, Pangantucan, Lantapan, and two towers in Talakag.

Globe was also able to upgrade 103 sites in prominent Bukidnon locales from 3G to 4G LTE.

“It is always our commitment to developing our services to deliver the best possible service to our customers, not just in highly urbanized areas, but also in other locations where connectivity has become a basic requirement for our kababayans. We understand their concerns, and we’re doing everything we can to provide them with the connectivity they deserve,” Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group, Joel Agustin, stated.

Customers, particularly in the municipality of Don Carlos, felt the immediate effects of the installations and site renovations.

Since last year, Globe has been aggressively building and expanding its network, allowing customers to improve their call, SMS, and data browsing experiences.

Customers in Bukidnon who are currently using 3G SIM cards should update to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs as soon as to take advantage of these increased services. Customers who migrate to the new mobile data standard, according to Agustin, will preserve their existing phone numbers. Customers can change their SIM cards for free at their nearest Globe Store if quarantine protocols in their respective zones allow it. Read the FAQs for more details. For a better mobile data experience, they should also update their device firmware to the most recent version available on the system (V10).

Customers who want to upgrade their mobile devices can go to any Globe store to see what 5G-ready 4G/LTE-capable devices are affordable and accessible.
