tvN confirms that “Happiness” will not have a second season and will end with only one season

The drama “Happiness” on tvN will end after one season; there will be no second season!

The popular drama “Happiness” has gotten a lot of attention because of its fast-paced premise, which follows the story of an apartment complex that is walled off after an infectious disease breaks out.

Jung Yi Hyun, played by Park Hyung Sik, is an intellectual and honest violent crimes detective who wishes to start a lovely relationship with Yoon Sae Bom, played by Han Hyo Joo. Yoon Sae Bom works for the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit as a tactical agent. Jo Woo Jin portrays the Armed Forces Medical Command commander Han Tae Suk, who holds the secret to the contagious sickness.

Because each episode contained so much action and tension, the drama’s appeal grew over time. Fans of “Happiness” began thinking on whether the drama will return for a second season.

However, a tvN insider confirmed that this is not the case. tvN confirmed in a statement to a news site that they had never explored the prospect of a second season for the drama, noting,

Fans contended that there is still so much left to be addressed by the drama’s authors that it only made sense to believe the drama was planning a second season. Some fans also adore the chemistry between Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo, but believe they were limited in their ability to develop it due to the drama’s concept.
