Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), a wireless subsidiary of PLDT, is offering 5G roaming services in the United States with AT&T. With 22 foreign partners, Smart has cemented its undisputed 5G roaming leadership in 16 countries.
Customers will use their Smart 5G-ready SIM and 5G-capable smartphone to access Smart’s worry-free 5G roaming services thanks to Smart’s alliance with AT&T, the largest mobile services company in the United States.
Smart’s GigaRoam USA Plus for Prepaid, the only roaming all-in package for data, calls, and SMS, is also available to prepaid customers. For just P1,499/21 days, you can get 3 G.B. of data roaming, 30 roaming calls, and 30 roaming texts to Philippine and U.S. numbers. Postpaid customers can also take advantage of GigaRoam USA, which offers 3 G.B. data roaming for P1,299 for 21 days. Customers in other countries can use roam.smart.com.ph or the GigaLife App to find and subscribe to available data roaming plans in the United States and other countries.

In the Philippines, Smart remains at the forefront of the 5G revolution. More than 2,600 Smart 5G sites have been enabled in strategic locations across the country. In addition, Smart has increased its 5G outdoor coverage in the National Capital Region to more than 90%.
5G, the most recent advancement in wireless technology, is supposed to make Smart, the Philippines’ fastest mobile network, even better. Smart 5G will supplement Smart’s ongoing expansion of its 4G/LTE network, named the fastest mobile network in the country by Ookla for the past three years, beginning in 2018.
Smart’s mobile network, which reaches 96% of the population from Batanes to Tawi-Tawi, is made possible by PLDT’s fiber network, the country’s longest at 429,000 kilometers.
