Rick and Morty Will Be Adapted Into An Anime By The Same Studio As Tower of God

The Rick and Morty franchise is finally making its way to the anime world. Takashi Sano, who also directed the Tower of God anime series, will direct the Rick and Morty anime spin-off.

Adult Swim, like most streaming sites, has continued to increase their anime catalog in the wake of the medium’s enormous popularity. On their platform, they now include anime such as Junji Ito’s Uzumaki, Blade Runner, and Black Lotus. The anime spin-off of Rick and Morty will be a welcome addition to their animation repertoire.

Studio & Episode Count

According to Variety, Takashi Sano, who previously helmed two anime shorts named “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil),” will direct the Rick and Morty anime. The anime series will be separate from the original Rick and Morty animated series and will not be tied to it. By the way, if you haven’t already, you should absolutely check out these Rick and Morty anime cartoons on YouTube.

The animation will be created by the “Telecom Animation Film,” a well-known studio in the anime field. Tower of God, Orange, Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, and Lupin the 3rd are some of their most well-known anime series.

The multiverse-straddling antics of Rick and the crew pose obstacles to the family relationship, but they always rise to the situation, according to anime director Takashi Sano. Jerry isn’t the only one who finds it inspirational. I am grateful for the opportunity to tell a new narrative about this remarkable family. I hope you have a good time with them!”

Rick & Morty Plot

For those unfamiliar with the series, Rick and Morty follows the adventures of Rick, a clever and drunken scientist who has discovered time travel. Rick is also the grandfather to Morty, a teen boy. They go on adventures and discover new universes together. Morty does not always want to go on excursions, but Rick continues to drag him along on risky journeys.
