OPPO Find X4 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to launch in Q1 2022

Following Qualcomm’s announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chipset, OPPO announced that their first flagship smartphone powered by the chipset will be released in the first quarter of 2022.

“OPPO maintains close ties with Qualcomm Technologies, and we’ve launched several 5G smartphones this year, including the Find X3 and Reno6 series, that are powered by flagship Snapdragon mobile platforms.” It gives us great pleasure to be present at the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Mobile Platform’s new generation. “We believe it will result in significant improvements and powerful performance on the next generation of flagship smartphones,” said Scott Zhang, VP of OPPO’s Overseas Sales.

It’s the first news about OPPO’s new Find X series after months of anticipation. Previous rumors suggested a minor upgrade over the previous generation, implying faster charging (80W, up from 65W).

The rear cameras will most likely remain 50 MP + 50 MP + 13 MP telephoto, but with updated sensors, and the 6.7-inch OLED screen with 1440p resolution and adaptive high refresh rate will likely remain.

The Find X2 Pro and Find X3 Pro were both announced in March, so the Find X4 Pro is expected to arrive around the same time. The question now is how quickly OPPO will make the phone available outside of China.
